MANDATORY GOST R CERTIFICATE – Last update: 20.02.2026
Before reading the details of the GOST R mandatory certificate, we recommend reviewing the key features of the GOST R certification in Russia on our introductory page. Due to recent regulatory shifts, many products now require the unified EAC certification for the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Mandatory GOST R Certificate of Conformity is a legal requirement for products entering the Russian market that are not yet covered by the TR CU (EAC) regulations. It confirms that the goods comply with the national safety standards of the Russian Federation.
KEY TYPES OF CERTIFICATION:
• SERIAL PRODUCTION: Suitable for long-term exporters. Valid for 1, 2, or 3 years.
• SHIPMENT-BASED: Ideal for one-time deliveries. Valid for a specific contract or batch size.
VISUAL IDENTIFICATION:
The Mandatory certificate is printed on a YELLOW document, whereas the Voluntary version is Blue.
Following the latest updates to Government Decree No. 2425, the following categories remain under the national Russian mandate:
